INTRECCIO DI POMODORI IN CERAMICA

Celebrato e raccontato è il Pomodoro Regina, varietà coltivata nei terreni salmastri litoranei del Parco delle Dune Costiere tra Ostuni-Torre Canne – Savelletri – Egnazia lungo la via Traiana. Simbolo del Sud, una cultura antica, una microeconomia capace di rispettare la Terra, raccogliere e conservare i suoi doni, non invasiva, fiera della sua identità, della sua trionfante biodiversità. Era ricchezza, era fuoco sui campi, era dote di sposa.

A formare le Ramasole sono i pomodorini intrecciati con filo di cotone, appese alla volta delle masserie per la conservazione.

Durante il workshop i partecipanti impareranno ad intrecciare le riproduzioni in terracotta smaltata dei pomodori al filo, concept nato nel 2012 dallo studio De Palma & Pinto.

Oltre all’Intreccio dei pomodori sarà possibile assemblare il monile “Love Apple”, la collana con il pomodoro in ceramica che insieme alla “RAMASOLA” sono stati presentati a EXPO Milano 2015 con una sfilata al Teatro della Terra, spazio dedicato a rappresentare la biodiversità e sostenibilità alimentare.

Course of INTRECCIO DI POMODORI IN CERAMICA

Celebrated and recounted is the Regina Tomato, a variety grown in the coastal brackish soils of the Coastal Dunes Park between Ostuni-Torre Canne-Savelletri-Egnatia along the Via Traiana. Symbol of the South, an ancient culture, a micro-economy capable of respecting the Earth, harvesting and preserving its gifts, non-invasive, proud of its identity, its triumphant biodiversity. It was wealth, it was fire on the fields, it was bridal dowry.

Forming the Ramasole are cherry tomatoes woven with cotton thread, hung from the vault of the farms for storage.

During the workshop, participants will learn how to weave glazed terracotta reproductions of the tomatoes to the thread, a concept created in 2012 by the De Palma & Pinto studio.
